Another One Bites the Dust

If i were the head public relations director of American Airlines there would be many steps taken to insure the public that there would be no way that this would happen again. I would have to do enough things to make the public feel as though American Airlines fixed everything about the problem and that it was ok to continue flying our aircraft's.
The first step that i would take is to write an apology letter to the families and friends of their loved ones lost. Next i would make a public statement saying that as of right now American Airlines is looking into everything and we will get to the bottom of the problem as soon as possible. After that was done i would then make sure that the top mechanics were at the site of the crash trying to figure out what went wrong with this plane so that it can be fixed on all the other planes. I would have to convince the public that everything was taken care of and that there would be know chance of this happening again before anyone would consider flying again. Lastly after all the dust settled i would find out what happened and ask that there be a few people fired that were responsible for the crash and then i would call a lawyer to start coming up with a settlement contract for the families of the loved ones to help compensate for their loss.

Music Makes the World Go Round

To me music is one of the most important things in my life. Music is a great way to express how i feel and what my mood is. Over the past 100 years music has evolved from just a few types of genres into all kinds of genres. One thing that has remained the same is the artists capability to express their life and mood's through their music. Music plays a huge role in my life and without it my life would be much more dull and black and white. It brings a sense of excitement and makes my life more meaningful because i can relate to certain musicians on some level.

Although many people think of music as a wonderful expression of art there are some people out there that don't understand the creativity and sometimes obtuse lyrics that some artists exhibit. Here is an article that illustrates some of the negative effects that music can have on society.

Newspaper Presentations

Yesterday we had to present our groups future newspapers. Group 2 who was first was probably my favorite newspaper out of all of them especially because they thought of an original newspaper. i really liked the transparency sheet that you can upload the news for the day and take it where you need to go.
Group 3 also presented a new type of newspaper that was a very interesting concept. Their newspaper was more of a blog type newspaper which i liked.
Group 1 presented a newspaper that was about the New River Valley and i thought it was a pretty good idea especially for graduating students from the area.

The Influential Aspect of Magazines and Books

For the most part magazines and books really don't play a big part in my life. the only magazines that i read are maxim, stuff, and sports illustrated. I've read a few books that have influenced my life but nothing too recent. The only literacy that my parents kept from me when i was a kid were the ones with naked women in them.

Media Mania

After keeping track of my media usage i realized that media impacts basically my whole life. I used to always think media only meant newspaper, television, radio, magazines, and Internet. I didn't realize that media also includes music, text messages, phone calls, basically any means of communication. I generally use the Internet and TV to find information about news events.
